Kirra Surf Club will be hosting an exclusive fundraiser celebrating 25 years of the Surfrider Foundation, on the Friday night (6th Nov) of the Kirra Surfstock Festival from 6pm until midnight (QLD time).

Don’t miss this super night of entertainment including special guests, Australia’s Godfather of Surfing and creator of the shortboard revolution Bob McTavish, who is launching his latest book, “Stoked”. Bob will be giving a talk from 6 – 7pm about his incredible surfing and shaping experiences.

Between 7 – 8pm, Surfrider Foundation will be presenting a variety of awards and personal achievements to its founding members.

From 8pm to 8.30pm, there will be a memorabilia auction including some rare gems from the Michael Peterson collection, plus the chance to grab a ticket in the very special raffle for Dick Hoole’s signed “MP Kirra Cutback 1976″ photo,  mounted on canvas. With just 50 tickets available for this fantastic shot; available on the night and at the Surfstock markets on Sunday 8th, they’re $25 each, you’d be mad not to grab one!

The 8.30pm – 9.30pm slot sees Hypnotist Mark Anthony performing a tribute to the late Ronricco, the famous Beach Hypnotist who was so popular at Greenmount and Kirra in the 60’s.

Wrapping up the evening, The Dan Hannaford and Dave Murray Band including Fingal’s Kaleb Slabb will rock the night away. Dan has just been signed by Sony and Dave Murray is famous for writing the song, Bring Back Kirra.

This “Night of Legends” is limited to 200 guests at $25.00 a single, or $40.00 for a double (including two free drinks and finger food). It will be an extraordinary night of entertainment and all for a good cause too!
