Kirra Surfstock Festival – Ready to Rock!

Kirra Surfstock Festival – Ready to Rock!

The Kirra SurfStock Festival will be held from Currumbin to Kirra on November 12 – 14th 2010 and is set to rock with a massive  line up of events!

With the aim of returning Kirra Point to its rightful status as a surfing Mecca, and bought to you by the organisers of the Kirra Beach Australia Day 2009 Paddle Out,  Kirra Surfstock’s main events include: Guinness World Record attempt for the ‘Most surfers riding the same wave’, Kirra Jnr Surf Teams Challenge, Greenline SUP Race, Kirra Surfstock Beach Soccer Challenge.

Other events include the GC Surf Magazine Miss Surf Girl Quest, charity fundraisers, kids activities, beach markets, dune care and more live music than you can shake a stick at!

The Kirra SurfStock Festival follows in the wake of Gold Coast City Council’s works to remove 20,000 cubic metres of sand from the once iconic Kirra Point and Reef. These works came about because of the amazing support for the Bring Back Kirra campaign that culminated in the Australia Day 2009 Paddle Out Rally and also saw the State Government pledge $1.5 million to help get Kirra back.

So please come along and show us your support!
